Man remanded for allegedly defiling 14-year-old girl

Juaso (Ash), March 14, GNA - The Juaso Circuit Court presided over by Mr Jacob Boon has remanded Kwasi Daniel, a fried rice seller, into prison custody for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old girl at Konongo.
     Daniel, who pleaded not guilty to the charge, will re-appear before the court on March 27.Police Chief Inspector Stephen Opare, prosecuting told the court that on February 9, this year, at about 2100 hours, the accused visited the victim, a space-to-space operator at Konongo and after a while entered a nearby drinking spot where he bought two bottles of coca-cola and offered one to the victim.
     According to the prosecutor, the victim after drinking became unconscious and recovered hours later, only to discover that she was on the bed of Daniel who sexually assaulted her.The victim then rushed home to inform her mother and the case reported to the police leading to the arrest of the accused.
