Police wives celebrate anniversary

Nkoranza (B/A) Feb. 7 GNA – Members of Nkoranza district police  wives association have celebrated their second anniversary with a clean  up exercise at the police barracks, district police headquarters and presented various items to inmates of an orphanage.
The food items presented to "Let the kids smile" orphanage included  biscuits, shirts, underwear, fruits, plantain and toiletries. Mrs. Juliana Afenyadu and Mrs. Susana Denteh, leaders of the  association, commended the members for their cooperative spirit, which they said, would enhance the growth of the association.They gave the assurance that the association would continue to assist  the orphanage to ensure the proper upbringing of the inmates.Madam Grace Nomeba and Madam Nasiratu Ibrahim, caretakers of  the orphanage received the items and thanked the association for the gesture.

They however stressed that feeding the children was a daunting challenge and called on other associations and public-spirited individuals to assist the home.They expressed appreciation to some individuals and organizations that visited and presented items to the inmates during the Christmas festivities.
