communities in the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District on Thursday damaged
food farms, buildings and rendered about 641 people
homeless.Communities that bore the brunt of the storm were Odoben,
Jamera, Ochisewa and Benin and Mr. Silas Awotwe, Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa
District Administrator of the National Disaster Management
Organization (NADMO), said efforts would be made to put up a new
building for the Jamera JSS.
He said materials would be provided for the rehabilitation of the
Benin JSS.Victims of the disaster are living with their relatives and
friends while the affected school children are attending classes in
other schools in the town.
