Parents urged to invest in their children's education

Akyem Ayirebi, April 03, GNA - A 200 million-cedi block of six
classrooms for the Elim Academy at Akyem Ayirebi in the Birim North
District was inaugurated on Tuesday.
Obrempong Gyampire Agyekum 11, chief of Akyem Ayirebi, told
parents that the child is their greatest asset and there was the need
therefore for them to ensure that their children got access to quality
education.
Ni Laryea Esquire, Deputy Director, National Service Secretariat,
appealed to the pupils and staff of the school not to relent in their
efforts to hold aloft the banner of discipline and academic
excellence.
The Reverend Alfred Osei-Poku, the Director of the school, later
made a personal donation of educational materials worth about 300
million cedis to the academy.
The items included computers and their accessories, furniture,
books and suitcases to be presented to brilliant children.
