Assemblyman for Soe/Yipala holds victory rally

Bolgatanga, Jan 31, GNA- The Assemblyman for Soe/Yipala electoral area in Bolgatanga, Mr. Ayimbire Alolga, on Wednesday appealed to members of his electoral area to help maintain unity and peace, which is the key component to development.He urged them to bury their political differences and team up to help bring development to the area.

"The development of Soe/Yipala is the responsibility of all the people in this area and we must therefore avoid petty squabbles and move forward", he stressed.Mr Alolga was addressing the people of the area during a victory rally to in his honour for winning the Assemblyman position.He assured the people that he would devote his energy, time and the limited resources available to ensure that development was brought to the place. He noted that the on-going road construction in the area would soon be completed to facilitate the movement of goods and services.Mr. Alolga said proposals had been sent to the Bolgatanga Municipal Assembly for the construction of a new school, toilet and health facilities.He pledged that the remote parts of the area would soon be connected to the national electrification grid.The Assemblyman however, appealed to the people to endeavour to release lands for development projects and avoid stopping contractors from executing their duties.

He warned criminals in the area to stop their nefarious practice or else when caught would be dealt with and noted that plans were afoot by the police to train community policing volunteers to help arrest criminals in the place.
